World premiere and first live-demonstration of the new shrinking machine series Power Clamp i 4.0 with one of Germany’s leading politicians
After opening this year’s EMO show, the world’s leading trade fair for the metalworking sector, the German Federal President, Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, made his first tour stop at HAIMER in hall 4, booth E18. There he was welcomed by Claudia Haimer (founder of the company and CEO) as well as Andreas Haimer (Managing Director and President of the Haimer Group).
HAIMER, a mid-size family owned company, is one of 2000 exhibitors at this year’s EMO show and was selected by the German Federal President because of its innovative strength and internationalization.
In line with this year’s main theme at EMO "Connecting systems for intelligent production", the German President learned about product solutions for data communication and networking of machines and tools. He praised the innovative power of the middle class and was delighted that HAIMER had a production site in his home region Ostwestfalen.
The German Head of State also witnessed the world premiere and first live-demonstration of the new shrinking machine series Power Clamp i 4.0 with intuitive touchscreen. After experiencing a shrinking process on the new Power Clamp Comfort i 4.0, the Federal President showed great interest in shrinking technology.
The new Power Clamp Comfort i 4.0 model is network-compatible as well as Industry 4.0 ready and provides ideal communication between the machine and tool. In order to automate the process, the Power Clamp i4.0 devices can also be equipped with a scanner that is able to read the shrinking parameters of Data-Matrix codes. The automated tool change is done in no time and after a short cooling period the tool itself is ready to be used again. The new tool dimensions are then transferred to the CNC machine via interface. The very high precision of the shrinking technology allows for maximum productivity during the machining process - now digitally networked for a safe work process.
